Dottore Companies Announces Addition of In-house General Counsel

Cleveland, Ohio—May 10, 2016--The Dottore Companies, a receivership and mediation firm based in Cleveland, Ohio an Washington DC, is proud to announce the addition of Mary K. Whitmer to the leadership team serving as General Counsel.

Ms. Whitmer brings many decades of experience in the practice of commercial law with an emphasis in business and bankruptcy law and litigation. She has litigated cases involving the marshalling of liens, fraudulent transfers, preference recoveries and successor liability, regularly representing those who wish to purchase assets out of bankruptcy and receivership.

Ms. Whitmer’s experience as panel trustee includes having the unique opportunity to oversee Chapter 7 bankruptcies filed in the Northern District of Ohio. Additionally, she is a certified public accountant, pairing her knack for the practice of law with the need to understand accounting problems within bankruptcy.

The addition of a dedicated legal resource will allow the firm to expedite cases to closure will full-service capabilities. “We can take a heavy equipment case, physically move assets if necessary, run businesses and offer legal counsel and accounting assistance all under one roof,” said Mary.
